Hi guys, First of all congratulations on this initiative and best wishes for taking this site to greater heights. The content is really good and I particularly like the style of delivering the message laced with the slight touch of dry humour. However, I have a few suggestions that should make this site more popular and more appealing to a wider audience. Firstly, the title of the site has to become a bit bigger and you need to have a phrase/sentence capturing the essence of the site. This will set the tone for a newbie when he actually reads the posts. Right now, it took me several visits to figure out what exactly was the purpose of this blog. Secondly, I think the general look and feel of the site can be a bit cheerful. Right now it is too much like a church - white, muted and all that. Thirdly, some photos please. You have a brilliant photographer in your midst and it is cruel of him not to capture a few shots for the story. Having photos can serve two goals - one is make people stop, see the pics and read the story. second is it gives a human touch and makes the story complete. If you cannot or do not want to take shots at location, some stock snaps that relate to every post can also be meaningful. I hope you do not mind these suggestions - just speaking out my mind.

Hey.. I basically second all of Suyog’s ideas.. And about discussions on the articles, I somehow don’t find any loose threads that can trigger of any. Unless somebody initiates a discussion things dont seem like they will take off. So maybe a few open ended questions could help the thought process to begin… Just a vague suggestion, not sure it makes too much sense.

We are working on implementing these. We got similar feedback from others.

We are planning to add photos and/or video/audio interviews of people involved with organizations we write about. You will see this happening very soon.
